Hello and welcome to our house! *sigh* I can thankfully say, *another sigh* I can welcome you into at least the entry and the front room of our home! *teehee* The rest of it is still a big heaping mess!!! (aaaahhhh!!!!) But, I can officially say we have made it past the boxes! Wooohooo! Let’s toast to that!
Do you have an entry table? I love it! It’s a drop your keys, put mail on to be delivered, collect your sunglasses and a subtle way to tell your guests a little bit about you and your family as they enter your home. (Tray: homegoods; 2016 frame: Target; vases and candlesticks: vintage stores; Books: my mom 🙂 ; Beads: vintage store; Green ribbon: Joann’s)
In keeping it simple this year, I decided to not put up the boughs on my railing. Messy, time-consuming and just one more thing to do. And you know what? I don’t miss it one bit! But of course the nutty nutcracker had to make an appearance. That little mister caught my eye at Homegoods probably 10 years ago. I just love him! And of course, there’s my Santa picture display along with a little someone caught up in the vintage beads, our Elf, Elfie. He’s been very mischievous this year.
On to the front room…
Simple simple simple. I had my vision for the mantel and so the only big change was my new plaid pillows (30% off right now!) and our Christmas tree. Added some poinsettias from Home Depot, spread some fresh tree sprigs on the coffee table and check! This room is ready for the holidays.
I hope you all have made a good dent in your holiday decorating and can sit down for a little seasonal sip this weekend!
Cheers!
